Washington renews its stand by Yemen in facing up to terrorism

The United States of America renewed its support for Yemen's unity and stability and its commitment to standing by Yemen in facing up to terrorism. Director of Planning at the US Joint Chiefs of Staff expressed his country's thanking to the Yemen republic for its cooperation in resisting smuggling, sea piracy and standing up to all terrorist acts.
hat came during meetings of the second round of the Yemeni-US staff joint talks opened in Sana'a on Monday convening the Yemeni general chief of staff Brigadier Ahmed Ali Al-Ashwal and director of planning at the US Joint of staffs , chairman of the American side . At the beginning of the 2-day meeting the Chief of General Staff welcomed the participants in the meeting affirming the importance of this round held at a time in which Yemen is facing a number of challenges, whether by elements of al-Qaeda organisation or the Houthi elements that cover its terrorism with wrong religious ideas. He added that the geographic and political importance of the Arab region connected to spacious regional and international waters requires providing the largest armed force to protect it against dangers of piracy in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden and the Arabian Sea. He also touched on the Yemeni –American cooperation aiming to achieve security and stability in the region away from military conflicts, disturbances and the bloody acts of terror. Al-Ashwal also stressed the necessity of coordination of the region's countries with the big powers for implementing heir commitments towards requirements of regional and international peace and security. Al-Ashwal also drew the attention that what the Yemeni repo public suffers from is terrorism in its multi forms on land and in sea and its mean goals. He clarified that Yemen confronts the sea terror, terrorism of al-Qaeda and practices of the Houthi gangs of rebellion and terror of criminal acts against the citizens in Saada governorate and Harf Sufyan and what results of that of acts of killing of the innocent, destruction of potentials, impediment of development and threat to security and stability in the region. He called for joining all efforts in the region and the world to face terrorism and its dangerous aims because confronting terror and rather crushing it is a goal of all good forces in the world. For his part the chairman of the American side confirmed that he US shares with Yemen the terrorist threats and existing challenges, indicating to the big importance of continuation of this dialogue in Sana'a that began last year in Washington and the exchange of viewpoints on the regional issues, mainly terrorism and piracy with the aim of dealing with the different challenges.
He has also confirmed the US support for Yemen's unity and stability and commitment of the American side to stand by Yemen in facing up to terrorism, expressing gratitude to the Yemeni republic for its cooperation in resisting smuggling, sea piracy and facing up to all terrorist acts. He also expressed his country's desire to develop and expand cooperation with Yemen for serving the common interests and issues of security and stability in the region.
