Yemen to attend Turkey OIC conference

ndustry and Commerce minister Yahya al-Mutawakil headed to Turkey on Saturday on a visit aimed at attending the meeting of the organization of Islamic Conference, which will take place Monday in Istanbul .
The conference would approve the issues previously discussed by the commercial and economic cooperation committee at expert level within the OIC and submit them to the next OIC summit, al-Mutawakil said. Earlier the committee tackled the topic of commercial and economic challenges faced in the Islamic and Arabic countries due to the global financial and food crises as well as other topics including the establishment of a common market. Aid given by the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development to Muslim developing countries to help them face poverty and promote development and the role of the private sector in stimulating the economies of Arab and Muslim states are on top of the conference agenda, he said. s
