Islamic Society announces the delivery of houses to flood victims before Eid al-Adha

Islamic Society is going to deliver more than (100) house re-built. a gift from Sheikha (Salama Bint Hamdan) . This comes after more than a year memory those affected by disaster, rain and floods that swept the Hadhramaut and Mahra provinces late October of f last year 2008.. Recalling with dismay the psychological and material losses suffered as a result of these floods , left nothing ever on its way whether green or dry but swept it away The handing over of the made houses will be done befor Eid ul-adh-ha. .In Wadi Hadhramaut particular tragedy was at its height, saw similar damage done to the coastal districts and other districts of Al-mahra province which is adjacent to the eastern side of Hadhramaut . The Disaster that Hadhramout and Al-Mahra experienced was never seen such as this, matched by the largest man's ability to absorb or stop it. Allah's praise was above all , before and after but as there was a civil efforts that were done to alleviate the misery of people, in form assistance and relief during and after the disaster had occurred. Humanitarian and charitable associations in Hadramout spared no effort in this aspect, a result the effort bears witness to the greatness of this religious attitude and great humanitarian stand observerd during and after the disaster Total number of families benefited from the project food basket,Had reached at that time more than (4620) with a total number of individuals in all (35372) person. All this was in the districts of Hadhramout and Al-mahra, included relief shelter and aid given to some (1300) Family displaced by the disaster when their house collapsed or its non-viability, these were were sheltered in ( 14) center for the displaced . Number of cases that were examined by the association medical team was more than (1286) case these were examined and checked by (28) doctors and (19) nurses.in all. To purify watter for human consumption the Society distributed (500) Filters in order to purify contaminated drinking wate. Also more than (11000) family benefited from water delivered at their door steps that involved (659) tankers during the water shortages crisis during the disaster. The Islamic Society had implemented other service projects, among them, restructuring water beds hat flows , pumps, drilling of wells, installation of pipes . On other hand it has delivered (500) liters of diesel for electricity to bring back the Electricity to Broum District .Repair some roads lines, drain stagnant waters, building classrooms and distribute financial aid to more than (72) affected families in Douan District that amounted to (10000) UAE Dirahm per household and (500) UAE Dirham to (30) affected families in Dar- e-raak in Al- qatn District. Financial aid was also given to (73) boarder students of the Faculty of Education, in Al-mahrah and distributed more than (1000), school bag. and school Uniforms as well.
