SANA'A, Jan. 13(Saba)- General director of International Cooperation
with Europe and the two Americas at the Ministry of Planning and
InternationalCooperation Nabil Shaiban revealed on Saturday that there
are intensive arrangements to hold a Conference on Exploring investment
Opportunitiesin Yemen in Paris, French capital, next February with the
participation of 50 French investment companies.
Shaiban declared to Saba that the conference, which would be under the sponsorship of Yemen, would focus on exploring investment opportunities in Yemen and special ways to attract the French investments. He said that rigorous arrangements are being held with the French embassy in Sana'a to organize a number of activities in the sideline of the conference.
He asserted that these activities would contribute to reinforcing the ongoing cooperation with France on the light of the positive results of the Yemeni-French summit, held between president Ali Abdullah Saleh and the French president Jacque Chirac, which emphasized the importance of paying further efforts to boost future collaboration between the two countries.
On the other hand, the Yemeni-Gulf efforts to finish the special arrangements to hold the first conference of Exploring Investment Opportunities inYemen, which was postponed due to some procedures to be held next April.
