Training course for health workers about the epidemiology of malaria and information system started today in the city of Mukalla. The course was organized by the National Program to Combat Malaria in
Hadramout, Shabwa and Al-mahra in cooperation and coordination with
the Al-awn Foundation for assistance & development. The Seminar that will last for five days and it has about twenty cadres. The participants will learn knowledge and skills on how to compile health information and statistics as well as to create health information system as part of integrated control of malaria. The course is one is one of the partnership programs that society is part of it and it contribute in the fightagainst Malaria and defeatit as well. . He also commended the partnership programs that bring together the malaria control program in Hadramout and the Al-awn Foundation for development , in order to achieve integrated control of malaria. Emphasizing the importance of community involvement in the fight against malaria with a view to get rid of it and make the province of Hadramaut free of this disease in the framework of the national campaign to make Yemen a free of malaria. In the opening session, speeches were given by the director of the program to control defeat Malaria in of Hadramout, Shabwa and Al-mahra Dr. Abdullah bin Salem Ba-ghouth and the Director of of Al-awn Foundation for development, Dr. Aadil Ba-hmid in which he reviewed the objectives and results expected out of this seminar in building the capacity of staff working in the field of human health. The Session was attended by a number of officials in the Office of the Ministry of Health and Population of the county.
