Seven parsons suspected to be al-Qaeda affiliates stand trial next week

The Specialized Criminal Court in Yemen is expected to start next week prosecution of seven persons accused to be affiliated to al-Qaeda organisation and of carrying out terrorist acts. The criminal prosecution has referred their files to the court.

It also accuses them of agreement to perpetrate criminal acts targeting foreign tourists and foreign interests in Yemen in addition to government and foreign institutions and exposing the society peace and safety to danger. The source pointed out that the indictment would includes emphasis that the accused had prepared necessary means of weapons, explosives and remote detonators as well as distribution of roles to implement crimes. They threatened and attacked law-enforcing employees during arresting them. One of them hurled a grenade at them to prevent them from performing their duty resulting in causing various injuries to the employees. The source revealed to almotamar.net the names of the accused persons, namely, Hussein Nasser Ali al-Marwala, Mohammed Qassim Ali al-Ghuli, Hani Mohammed al-Alimi, Yusuf Mohammed Hassan al-Hajaji, Abdullah Ahmed Ali al-Matari, Amin Abdullah al-Najar and Mutib Saleh Abdulaziz.
