Saleh holds talks with Abbas

President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Sunday President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas during his official visit to Yemen.
During the meeting, the two presidents discussed the fraternal Yemeni-Palestinian relations and the latest developments in the region, topped by developments in the Palestinian arena. Abbas acquainted Saleh with results of his talks in New York with the US President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in addition to reconciliation efforts to bridge the gap between Fatah and Hamas movements.President Saleh reaffirmed the stance of Yemen which is in favor of the Palestinian issue and the Palestinian people's rights as well as the establishment of the independent state of Palestine with Quds the capital.He congratulated efforts exerted to bring together Fatah and Hamas, noting that this move serves the Palestinians issue and their legitimate struggle to gain their rights.For his part, Abbas affirmed stand of the Palestinian people with Yemen in protecting its security, stability and unity.
