President Ali Abdullah Saleh returned home on Thursday coming back from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.During the visit, President Saleh along with a number of leaders took part in the inauguration of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology.
He held talks with several Arab and foreign leaders on the regional and international developments of common concerns in addition to boosting mutual relations with their countries.President Saleh has hailed the University, saying it is a source of pride not only for Saudi Arabia but also for the whole Islamic and Arab nation.The University was opened September 23, 2009 with degrees in 11 fields of study. The core campus is located on more than 36 square kilometres along the Red Sea at Thuwal – about 80 kilometres north of Saudi Arabia's second largest city, Jeddah.The university announced admissions to this year early this month, receiving about 400 students.Three years form now, the number of students at the university will reach 12.000.Its main goal is to qualify graduates to be able to find solutions for scientific and technical challenges
