President Saleh meets religious scholars

President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Thursday, at Presidential Office, religious scholars and held for them Ramadan Iftar banquet. During the meeting, President confirmed the great role of enlightenment and guidance being played by clergies to aware and guide the society with their religion and worldly issues.
He confirmed the importance of clergies to raise awareness in the society, especially the youth segment against extremism and to implant in them values and principles of our Islamic religion.
On their part, the Islamic scholars confirmed their support for the government and political leadership to end rebellion in some districts of Sa'ada governorate.They emphasized that "our Islamic religion prohibits rebellion and secessionism in the society.
