Yemeni businessmen expressed on Saturday their readiness to provide all kinds of support needed to the displaced people as well as to the armed forces in Saada province. In a meeting chaired by the Industry and Trade Minister Yahya al-Mutawakel to mobilize support for efforts to accommodate the Saada displaced people fleeing from the cruel practices of al-Houthi elements, the businessmen affirmed eliminating al-Houthi rebels would bring security and stability in the province's all districts. Several in-kind and cash donations were announced in the meeting. The meeting's participants accepted to hold an enlarged meeting on the coming Monday to collect the largest possible amount from the private sector for the rebellion-affected people. The meeting came after the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Capital Secretariat launched here on Wednesday a campaign to collect donations for Sa'ada displaced people.Mayor of the Capital Secretariat Abdul-Rahman al-Akwa'a called on during the inauguration all Yemeni businessmen from all the country's provinces to contribute to providing all support needed which can be considered as defending unity and democracy of Yemen. In the first hours of the meeting, the donations of the Chamber members exceeded YR 77.7 million. It is worth to mention that relief organizations complained on Wednesday the Houthi rebels were hindering their job, blocking them from reaching out the war-affected people in Yemen's restive northern parts.Amid insecurity in the areas, relief organizations have become very cautious to avoid their staffs being hurt or their equipment being destroyed. The inhuman acts by the Houthi followers come as the army has recently expanded an offensive against them and which was prompted by continued violence and lawbreaking by the rebels. The relief organizations face difficulties while trying to get the displaced because most of the people are not at camps. Many families moved to their relatives in other nearby areas.According to the UN mission, there are more than 160,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) due to the recent confrontations between the army and rebels.he Houthi rebels have been launching sporadic wars against the troops since 2004
