Oil Minister inaugurates development projects in Hadhramaut

Mr.Khalid Bahah, minister of oil and mineral, and Mr. Ulster Moune, President and Director-General of the Canadian Nexen Petroleum Yemen opened today a number of development projects which were funded by the Canadian Nexen and its partners with cost total cost amounted to one million and 576 thousand dollars. The inaugurated projects including, a kindergarten children in Al-Qarah-Ghael Bawazeer with total cost amounted to 114 thousand dollars which accommodate 120 children, opening a primary school in Alshaher as well as the inauguration of a project to establish a network Electricity of Wadi Araf and Almadi's the villages-Shaher which will benefit 12500 people. The minister inaugurated also the first phase of the rehabilitation of water system in Araf Valley at total cost of 170 thousand dollars. In a meeting with the citizens, Mr., Bahah these projects aim to create a social partnership between the oil companies, operating concession areas, and the population. He stressed the importance of paying attention to knowledge as a basis and pillar of development in the country.
