Sharaf expects progress in economic growth in 2010

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Hisham Sharaf expected that the coming year would witness progress in the economic growth because of starting the gas exporting. In interview with 26September weekly, Sharaf also expected increase of economic growth 1% or 2 % this year as the last year realized increase at 3.6 percent. Sharaf said that the economic situation was under control in spite of huge losses due to decrease of oil production and global financial crisis.He also added that the rebellion in Saada and vandalism in some south region damaged the investment in field of tourism. The deputy minister revealed that the government has financial allocations to carry out development projects at sum of $ 3 billion.
