Rase'a: Govt will fulfill its duties towards displaced people in Sa'ada

Minister of Public Health and Population Abdul-Karim Rase'a has affirmed the government would fulfill its duties towards the displaced people from volatile province of Sa'ada, the state-run 26sep.net reported on Monday. Rase'a ,who currently heads the ministerial committee to control receiving and harboring the war-affected and displaced people, has told the 26sep.net that the committee along with representatives from the UN organizations would pay a visit on Monday to Amran governorate to take the necessary measures for receiving the emigrants coming from some unstable areas in Sa'ada province and set up camps for lodging them.The committee would present all facilities and help to the international organizations for delivering the humanitarian aid to the displaced people, Rase'a added confirming that the state paysfarthest attention to this issue.In this regard, the minister indicated to the directives of the political leadership to provide all assist as well as the medical and accommodation services to those emigrants who left their homes and villages escaping from the brutal practices by al-Houthi rebels who plunder and destroy their properties.The committee has already visited al-Merzak area in Harad district, Hajjah province, to establish camps for the emigrants, Rase'a said pointing out that there are seven camps lodging about 35,000 emigrants where they receive all kinds of care, food and medical services.The al-Houthi rebels have been battling the troops since 2004, with thousands of people being displaced and dozens killed and injured.Clashes have been revived recently between the army and the al-Houthi rebel group in Yemen's restive region of Saada.The al-Houthi rebels have forced many families to leave their homes and then they took over them and stationed to fight the troops.
