The Supreme Committee for
Crude Oil Marketing approved, in its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Ali Mujawar on Saturday, the official sale price for 600,000 barrels of Marib crude oil for next August 2009.According to the best prices presented by six competitive companies, the committee approved the best price, which is based on price of Brent with increase of $0.25 for a barrel offered by the Chinese "UNIPEC" company.The committee confirmed that the price is applicable also to the remaining quantity of Marib crude oil in Refinery of Aden, which amounts to 1,800,000 barrels for the current June.The committee also agreed upon sealing 600,000 barrels monthly.The meeting reviewed the technical committee's report on the presented bids, process of analyzing and choosing the best bid according to the used mechanism based on the transparency and raising the competitive chances between the buyers of Yemeni crude oi
