Indian merchant ship sinks off Socotra coasts

Indian merchant ship carrying goods had sunk late yesterday in the waters of Indian Ocean about 70 nautical miles offshore Socotra archipelago. The member of local council in Socotra island, AbdulSalam al-Jomahi pointed out that the ship sank some 70 nautical miles off the coast due to a widespread monsoon season hit the island which is the key cause of the ship sinking. He said that the ship carrying foodstuffs, building materials and 18 cars on board was coming from the United Arab Emirates to Socotra island, affirmed that the crew members of the Indian ship were saved
