The Ministry of Public Health said that "the regrettable events which
occurred in the temporary capital Aden in the past two days left 21
killed and 290 wounded." The ministry was referring to clashes that
occurred between the government forces and rebels from the Southern
Transitional Council.
In a statement to Saba, the Deputy Health Minister Jalal Ba-Oudha said that most of the wounded brought to the hospitals in Aden and to the Doctors without Borders are in critical conditions, which may lead to increase in fatalities.
