Council of Ministers in its weekly meeting today, discussed the Minister of Culture note on the selection of Tarim city in Hadramout governorate as capital of Islamic culture 2010, selected by the Islamic Organization for Education, Culture and Science. The House under the chairmanship of the President of the Council, Dr. Ali Mohamed Mujawar, passed the formation of a committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister of Internal Affairs and the ministers of culture, finance, media, tourism and Endowments and Guidance, Education and the Governor of Hadhramout governorate as members. The Council identified the functions of the Commission that is to adopt the policy to implement the objectives of Tarim as a capital of Islamic culture 2010 as well as the effectiveness of these plans that come to celebrate the historical role of this outstanding city and to preserve the cultural identity of Arab and Islamic countries.The Council identified the functions of the Commission in adopting the policy and to implement the objectives of Tarim as the capital of Islamic culture 2010 also the effectiveness of these plans that comes in celebrating the historical role of this outstanding city and to preserve the cultural identity of Arab and Islamic countries. The Council approved the formation of a technical committee chaired by the Minister of Culture and the membership of a number of government agencies as well as local civil society organizations related to the development. The public perception of events and activities on this occasion, including those relating to infrastructure projects and coordination with the Islamic Organization for Education, Culture and Science on these events, activities and other tasks enhanced the success of these events and to confirm this investment for the renewal of the historic heritage values of the Renaissance and the Enlightenment in the Arab culture and Islamic culture and to reject discord and violence and extremism and fanaticism and narrow-interest and the promotion of historical and cultural monuments in the city and its schools revival and interest in scientific manuscripts, documents and other goals.
