Investment, reactivating private sector in Hadhramout discussed

Local Authority and Hadhramout Chamber of Industry and Commerce
discussed on Monday preparations for development plans and enhancing
cooperation between the local authority and the private sector.
The chamber and the Economic and Media Studies Center organized consultative meeting for the purpose. The meeting was presided over by Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for Oil and Energy Affairs Omer al-Haifi.
The meeting is considered the first of its kind here, said al-Haifi, noting that the province is promising as it has 25 oil sectors, which encouraging the local authority to invest in oil and gas field.
He called on businessmen for investment in the province in different fields.
Acting President of Hadhramut Chamber for Industry and Commerce Majdibo-Abbas said this meeting is being held at an important stage and will work on ending all difficulties facing the private sector.
He reviewed the role of the sector in supporting and supplying many businesses in the past.
The meeting aims at reactivating development and investment in the province, said Mustafa Nasr, the Head of the center.
A committee has been formed for following up the outcomes of the meeting to be discussed and implemented.
