Secretary- General of local Council in Aden province
Abdul-Karim Shaief has discussed with Russian ambassador to Yemen Vladimir Trofimov ways of boosting investment development in Aden.
During their meeting, the Russian ambassador pointed out that his country's keenness to establish a desalination plant in Aden and several strategic projects, including generating electricity in Ma'aber, Balhaf , Mareb and Heswah regions.Trofimov assured his county's readiness to develop the bilateral cooperation relations between the two friendly countries.
Yemen was the first Arab country to establish diplomatic relations with the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) in 1928.
The two countries have maintained developing economic and trade relations between them during these long years
