OCHA briefed on efforts to counter heavy rains aftermaths in Hadramout

The information officer of the UN Office for the Coordination of
Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) Dana Hazeen was briefed on Monday on the procedures taken to encounter aftermaths of heavy rains and floods disaster hit the governorate on October 2008.During his meeting with Hazeen, Assistant Undersecretary of Hadramout province Fahd al-A'ajam acquainted the UNOCHA official the efforts of construction of flood-affected houses that would be funded by the Reconstruction Fund, he said. He also praised efforts of the official and popular bodies, civil society and international organizations in providing shelters, relief and humanitarian aid to the rain-affected areas, presented by Arab and foreign countries.
