President Saleh received today a message from US president Barak Obama on bilateral relation, cooperation and partnership existing between the two countries as well as cooperation in domain of security and the fighting terrorism in addition to the conditions of Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo Bay prison. The message was conveyed by John Brennan U.S. Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Combating Terrorism,during an audience with the president here today. Mr. Brennan also conveyed greetings of Barak Obama to the president Saleh who in turn sent his greetings to him, morever, it hailed Yemen' efforts in combating terrorism, underscoring U.S's support for development, stability and security in Yemen. During the audience, president Saleh reviewed with Mr. Brennan ways of strengthening ties and aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries, reiterating Yemeni call on United States to hand over Yemeni detainees to Yemen, notifying, Yemen has been preparing to rehabilitating them intillictually and professionally, so as to enable them to integrate then into society. The audience was attended by Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Deputy Premier for Defense, Security and Minister of Local Administration, M. G. Ghalib Mutahar al-Qamesh head of the Central Agency for Political Security, and Mr. Stephen Shas U.S. Ambassador to Sana'a.
