Yemen, WB discuss supporting food security project

Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Farid Mujawar met here on Monday with Water Resources Specialist at the World Bank (WB) Office in Sana'a Dr. Naif Abu-Lohom.
The two sides discussed topics related to the project to support the small farmers productivity, which funded by the Global Agenda Council on Food & Nutrition Security with $ 36 million.
They reviewed a mechanism to complete the project document and facilitate the difficulties facing the completion process, including the provision of the local side contribution and the final design of the project.
The minister valued the WB's role and support in the implementation of the project, which is relied upon to improve the living conditions of the farmers and reduce poverty.
Mujawar stressed the necessity of completing the project document as soon as possible and signing the agreement in order start the project implementation.
