Informed sources said that a Yemeni economic committee is to head for
South African to enhance the economic and trade relationsand gain
advantages from the free zone experience in South Africa.
The sources said that the Ministry of Industry and Trade Khaled Sheikh issued a decision of forming such a committee that will include relevantauthorities to study the possibilities of benefiting from the free zone to raise the Yemeni exports to South Africa and the Indian Ocean over looking countries.
They mentioned that forming such a committee comes after several meetings between the two countries here in Sana'a and in Pretoria, south African capital during the last two years, affirming the two countries' desireto improve the trade exchange in addition to the arrangements to attracting some South African giant companies to invest in Yemen.
