Minister of Industry and Trade, Khaled Rajeh Sheikh, opened the Second
Sana'a International Exhibition on Sunday in Expo Center for
International Exhibitions in Sana'a city.
The exhibition was organized by the ministry in corporation with Apollo Company for International Exhibitions.
Sheikh said that the exhibition is to extend trade exchange between Yemen and participating countries.
He said that the exhibition is a good chance to enlighten Yemen customers about different products of the participated companies.
"It is an attempt to merge national economic with regional and international economics." Sheikh said.
He added that industrial annual growth records 25%, and expected that the participating companies might be set up their factories in Yemen.
He said that such exhibitions are considered as real measure for capability of the Yemeni economy to merge in other economics.
The Kuwaiti ambassador to Sana'a Abdul-Rahaman al-Utibi highlighted level of the Yemeni-Kuwaiti ties under leadership of President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah. He said that bilateral ties witness notable progress, especially in the economic field, pointing out to the first participation of Kuwait in this trade exhibition in Yemen.
The commercial attaché at the Italian embassy in Sana'a said that the Yemeni-italian ties are strong specially in the economic, oil and tourism fields.
She said that there are plans to attract further Italian investments to Yemen.
Some 100 national and foreign companies are taking part in the exhibition.
