Yemen sells 1.5 mln barrels of Masila crude to Unipic

The Supreme Committee on Crude Oil Marketing on Monday approved selling 1.5 million barrels of Masila crude oil for loading in January to Unipic Petroleum Company. The crude sale's approval made during the committee's meeting chaired by Prime Minister Khaled Bahah to endorse the crude oil sales of January 2014, with an estimated quantity reaches 3.1 million barrels of Masila and Marib crude.
Unipic Company, which has placed the best bid, bought the 1.5 million barrels of Masila crude at a premium of $0.46 a barrel to dated Brent.
Regarding Marib crude oil, the committee agreed to sell the January total quantity amounting to 1.6 million barrels to Aden Refinery Company at the dated Brent price (without any discount or rise.)
