The National Meteorological Centre in Yemen expects continuation of the mass of dense dust in the next 24 hours over the governorates of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Mareb, Al-Jawf, Saada, Amran and Sana’a, as well as the western and southern coastal cities and to Socotra archipelago. In its statement the Centre clarified that this mass of dust will be lighter than it has been in the past two days. The Centre requested the people living in those governorates, especially those suffering of chest and lung diseases and the elderly people and children to take necessary precautions and not to be exposed directly to dense dust as it causes damage to the public health. It has also warned motorists against the noticeable drop in horizontal visibility.
