Ministry is preparing for conducting a comprehensive survey of the industrial installations in Yemen. The sources states to almotamar.net that the survey will be implemented in two stages; the first one in the current year for preparation for updating the industrial survey and the second stage will be in the year 2010 for implementing the survey on the field, analyzing its indicators and crystallization them into economic indicators that develop the industrial sector in Yemen. The sources also made it clear that the survey would contribute to determine and draw up the industrial map in Yemen, make a list of the investment opportunities with the aim of integration with the present industries and protection of the Yemeni industry in line with rules of protection and world changeable as well as drawing up comprehensive industrial strategy and another for industrial sector with proportional characteristics. According to the sources the survey would make a comprehensive survey of all industrial installations with regard to their size, type, the investments invested in the industrial sector, geographical distribution of them and learn needs and requirements of production of gods and services for the industrial sector. The sources added that the survey also aims at providing a full database on the industrial installations , their employees and their wages, the value of production and the added value for meeting need of the investor ; both the local and the foreign and to determine contribution of the industrial private sector to the national income and how to develop it
