Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi is to pay an official two-day visit to Djibouti in which he will deliver a letter from President Ali Abdullah Saleh to his Djiboutian President Ismail Omar Guelleh dealing with the relation between the two countries in light of regional developments, according to 26sept .net on Thursday. Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi ,who is leading the Yemeni delegation, will take part in the upcoming Yemeni-Djiboutian Ministerial Committee . The committee ,which will be co-chaired by Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and his Djiboutian Mahmoud Ali Youssouf ,will focus on several regional issues regarding the latest developments in Somalia and international efforts to achieve the Somali reconciliation. The piracy acts in the Horn of Africa is to be one of the committee's agenda and discuss cooperation in anti-piracy in addition to review Yemeni-Djiboutian distinct relations within a number of cooperation documents in various fields, of which promoting cooperation in the area of trade and investment, agriculture, fishery wealth, maritime transportation, health, and tourism as well as cooperation in the area of security and higher education. The preparation meeting of the Yemeni-Djiboutian Ministerial Committee will start on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Hisham Sharaf who was quoted as saying that the meeting will discuss the bilateral relation between the two countries and cooperation to face piracy acts.
