Minister of Culture Mohammed al-Maflahi discussed here on Wednesday with a Japanese cultural delegation the possibility of contributing to conservation projects of historical places damaged by the heavy rains which invaded Hadramout province last year. During the meeting, al-Maflahi briefed the delegation on the report of Culture Ministry on counting the damaged archeological and historical places of which their estimated cost of repairing and conservation projects is $6 million. The minister praised the level of cultural activities carried out by the Japanese embassy in Sana'a, pointing out the specialty of cooperation ties between the two friendly countries and the level of Japanese support to development projects in Yemen. For her part, official of International Cooperation in the Japanese Foreign Ministry, head of the delegation, briefed the minister on the visit program of delegation which consists of specialists in antiques and geology field.
