Fisheries wealth ministry to ration traditional fishing in coming period

Ration of traditional fishing is one of priorities of the ministry for
coming period, Deputy Minister of Fisheries Wealth Abdul-Hadi al-Khadar
told 26 September weekly. The weekly made an interview with
the deputy minister in which he said that the fisheries experts forms
13.2 percent of non-oil experts, adding that the statistics show that
the fisheries reserve is around 850,000 tons. Some 65,000 people are fishermen and fisheries sector creates around 2,890 jobs yearly, he said. He made it clear that there are three tuna factories at capacities of 30 million cans per year.
