The statistics show that the number of tourists from different nationalities who visited Yemen have increased to 404,497,000 during 2008 compared with 378,361,000 tourists during 2007. Tourism sector has been affected by a number of terrorist events which took place in the country affecting the growth of tourism revenues which reached 7 % in 2008.According to the statistics, tourists visited Yemen from the Middle East came first at 8% compared with 7% of tourists who come from Europe and Africa and American tourists at 3%.
