Yemen, U.S discuss cooperation in agriculture

Yemen and the U.S discussed here on Monday sides of cooperation relations between them in the agricultural sector in order to serve the two countries' common interests. Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation Farid Mojawar and the U.S. ambassador to Yemen Matthew Tauler reviewed during their meeting possibilities of providing support to carry out several agricultural programs and activities in Yemen.
Mojawar welcomed the U.S official and wished him all success in carrying out his diplomatic tasks in boosting the Yemeni-US mutual relations, renewing his appreciation over the American support and cooperation with Yemen, particularly in the agricultural field.
He also noted to the support offered by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) via implementing a number of activities in Yemen, looking forward to increasing the support for the agricultural area.
For his part, Tauler pointed out that he understands the challenges facing Yemen, asserting his keenness to work and coordinate with American investors to invest in the agricultural fields in Yemen.
He also said that he would strengthen and develop the partnership relations of the two friendly countries and expressed his readiness to continue supporting the agriculture in Yemen for its role in providing the food security.
