Yemen, KSA discuss cooperation in oil, gas sector

Minister of Oil and Minerals Khalid Bahah discussed on Monday with chargé d'affaires of the Saudi Embassy in Sana'a Dr. Haza'a al-Metari the cooperation areas between the two countries, especially in the sector of oil and gas In the meeting, Bahah hailed the assistance provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to Yemen in the field of oil derivatives, noting that the current phase requires strengthening of the economic and developmental cooperation between the two countries.
The minister affirmed the importance of activating the role of the Saudi-Yemeni Coordination Council in order to achieve the common aspirations of the two countries.
For his part, the Saudi diplomat confirmed that the Kingdom would continue to support Yemen to overcome the exceptional economic circumstances and to implement the National Dialogue Conference (NDC)'s outcomes and the political settlement.
Al-Metari also assured that the Kingdom would make efforts to develop the investment activities between the two countries in various fields, including the oil and gas industry and encouraging companies for joint investment between the two countries.
