Cabinet fully supports efforts to underpin State's security

The cabinet on Monday reiterated its full support for the efforts made by the Ministries of Defense and Interior to underpin the country's security and stability.
It also stressed that the government will provide all the financial and technical necessary requirements to enhance the security and military capacities and succeed the ministries' efforts.
In an extraordinary meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mohammed Salem Basindwa, the cabinet expressed its full support for the Ministries' plans to inclusively reform any deficiencies or weaknesses in the security and military performance.
It underscored that the achieving the Yemen's security and stability is an absolute and top priority to the government and its various bodies to accomplish the rest requirements of the ongoing transitional stage, implement the outcomes of the national dialogue and realize the Yemeni people's desired development and prosperity.
It instructed the armed and security forces to act strictly to clamp down on sabotage, criminal and terrorist acts, stressing that stability is a key factor to achieve the desired development, attract investment and boost the economic activity in the country and - in return - improve the people living conditions.
The cabinet's extraordinary meeting was devoted to discuss reports presented by Ministers of Interior, Oil and Finance on the security, economic and financial situations in the country and the existing obstacles and their visions and solutions to handle them.
After extensive discussions, the cabinet approved forming a ministerial committee to study the ministries' reports and suggest appropriate solutions to be submitted to the cabinet within two weeks for approval.
