President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi received on Sunday President of the Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA),Dr. Serdar Çam.
In the meeting, President Hadi welcomed the TIKA's delegation, appreciating the agency's efforts and its service and humanitarian activities in various fields.
"The cooperation between Yemen and Turkey is old and advanced at the various levels", the president said, citing the historical ties and joint cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
He pointed to the Agency's important role in the education and health sectors primarily, expressing his hope to rehabilitate and activate the educational aspects through the school equipment and laboratories.
For his part, the President of TIKA affirmed that Yemen represents an importance for Turkey in view of the fraternal relations between the two countries, saying " and that what motivates us to exert more efforts to weave strategic relations centered in service and humanitarian aspects".
He noted to his talks with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Education to prepare a map of urgent projects in these sectors, which resulted in signing a number of agreements in relation to the establishment of a factory for school supplies and equipment and other projects.
He praised the existing cooperation to promote and develop the relationship between the TIKA and Yemeni government in the framework of the distinguished relations between the two countries.
The TIKA is working in 35 countries, including Yemen, where its office was opened in 2012.
