Yemen and Egypt discuss health cooperation

Minister of Health and Population Ahmed al-Ansi discussed here on Thursday with Egyptian counterpart Adel Badawi aspects of cooperation between the two countries in the medical field. Al-Ansi and Badawi reviewed the bilateral cooperation in the areas of training the Yemen's medical staff, and in activating the protocols of the Egyptian and Arabic fellowship.
They also touched upon the proposed mechanisms to regulate the export of Egyptian medicine to Yemen and activating joint cooperation in the field of drug manufacture and conveying the Egyptian expertise to Yemen.
The Ministers stressed the need to coordinate and organize the medical tourism procedures and arrange the reception measures of the Yemenis coming to have medical treatment in Egypt in accordance with mechanisms to be adhered by both parties.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the meeting of the 41st regular session of the Arab Health Ministers Council concluded recently in Cairo. The Arab Ministers agreed to continue to provide the necessary health supplies for the Syrians displaced people and provide the financial aid of $200,000 to support the health conditions of Syrian displaced in Egypt.
Moreover, the Ministerial Council approved the final draft of the Arab strategy to combat AIDS 2014 - 2020 as an Arab strategic framework for the response to the international fight against "AIDS".
