Hadi receives Assistant to U.S. President for Homeland Security

President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi received on Saturday Assistant to the U.S. President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, Lisa Monaco, and her accompanying delegation.
In the meeting, the President dealt with the underway steps in the implementation of the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference (NDC) in accordance with the GCC-brokered initiative and the UN Security Council resolutions No. 2014 and 2051.
He affirmed that the federal system is the only way for justice and equality and non-exclusion, neglect and the equitable distribution of responsibility and wealth and power, noting that the centralization was a major cause of deprivation and lack of justice in the distribution of projects and potentials.
The president pointed out that Yemen has accomplished advanced strides in building the future and turning the page on the past forever, and that the economic issue is a problem that can be a barrier to moving forward towards a better tomorrow.
He also touched on a number of issues related to the bilateral relations between the two countries, and highly appreciated the concerns of the U.S. President Barack Obama for the safety, stability and unity of Yemen.
For her part, Monaco conveyed congratulations of President Obama to President Hadi on the success of the national dialogue in Yemen, confirming her country’s continuous support to Yemen.
"The U.S. President Barack Obama highly appreciates the achievements made in Yemen, considering them an extraordinary achievement", Monaco said, hailing the actual treatments that have been and being made to address the issue of South and return thousands of those who were laid off to their jobs.
She pointed out that President Obama is fully aware of the economic problem ,which forms a great importance, and there would be cooperation in this regard in order to overcome the challenges and obstacles.
"The U.S. will provide $ 30 million to the social security to meet the needs in this aspect", she added.
