Int'l Cooperation Minister meets WB Vice President

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammad al-Saadi met here on Monday with Inger Andersen, the Vice President of the Middle East and North Africa at the World Bank (WB). During the meeting held on the sidelines of the Second Arab Forum on Development and Employment in Riyadh, al-Saadi and Andersen discussed the progress of the WB-funded projects in Yemen currently, including wind power plant in Mocha, Aden-Taiz road and the second phase projects of basic education.
They reviewed the underway arrangements for the meeting of the Friends of Yemen group to be held early next April in Riyadh. The preparation for carrying out the coming constitutional requirements in Yemen, including drafting and referendum on the new constitution, and conduct presidential and parliamentary elections were also touched upon in the meeting.
Andersen underlined the importance of preparing for the implementation of the national dialogue outcomes and the need to pay more attention to the economic process and creating job opportunities, especially for youths.
