Prime Minister Mohamed Salem Basindwa on Monday stressed the
government's willingness to create a full partnership relationship with
Turkey in various development and economic fields.
During his meeting with a delegation of a Turkish company for
construction and real estate, Basindwa pointed to the government's
support and encouragement to the Turkish companies to invest in Yemen in
all promising sectors, particularly infrastructure.
The
company's manager briefed the Premier on the company's investment
activities in Turkey and its trends to invest in Yemen in the real
estate field.
He talked about the agreement on joint investment
reached between the company and the Yemeni Defense Ministry represented
by the military housing fund in implementing the first phase of the
military housing project, which includes 10,000 housing units in Sana'a,
Aden, Hadramout and Hodeida governorates.
He said that the
company would use the most high-tech methods in the construction
process, by which 10 housing units would be built daily.
Yemen's
participation in the project will not only be in the financing side,
but also in the implementation process, the Turkish company's manager
said, accentuating that Yemenis engineers would be trained in Turkey to
take part in the construction process.
