Defense Minister Maj. Gen. Mohammed Nasser Ahmed met on Monday the U.S. ambassador to Yemen Gerald Feierstein.
They discussed the military cooperation areas between the two countries’
armies, especially in the areas of training and rehabilitation and in
combating terrorism.
The Defense Minister pointed out that the
Yemeni armed forces is moving towards the sound national building,
hailing the U.S. efforts in providing technical and military assistance
in the armed forces restructuring process.
For his part, the U.S.
ambassador praised the positive results of the National Dialogue
Conference, confirming his country’s supportive attitude towards the
unity, security and stability of Yemen.
On another hand, the
Defense Minister met with the deputy Turkish ambassador to Yemen ,
Cevdet Yılmaz, and discussed with him the cooperation between the Yemeni
and Turkish armies in the military housing area.
The minister praised the historical relations between Yemen and Turkey.
For
his part, the Turkish diplomat valued the continued cooperation between
the two people and countries, confirming his country’s support to Yemen
in all aspects.
