Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Mohammad
Al-Saadi headed to London on Thursday to participate in the
International Conference on Nutrition & Growth ,which will start
Friday and lasts for two days.
Al-Saadi explained to Saba that he will participate in the conference
commissioned by President Abdo Rabbo Mansour Hadi, noting that a number
of countries that suffer from malnutrition in general will also
participate in the conference, in addition to the Great Eight donor
countries, UNICEF and other UN organizations involved in this field.
He
pointed out that the conference aims to adopt food development programs
in poor countries such as Africa and Yemen, which need to food support ,
especially in the field of childhood.
Yemen's participation in
the conference aims to prove the circumstances experienced by the
country and to call on the donor countries to contribute to alleviating
the Yemen's suffering of poverty, al-Saadi added.
He noted that
he will meet, on sidelines of the conference, with the owner of
Microsoft Corporation and Chairman Gates Charity, Bill Gates, to brief
them on the situation in Yemen and its food needs in general and
especially the needs of children.
