Law of 2009 Budget issued

President Ali Abdullah Saleh issued on Wednesday the law No. 51 for 2008 related to the 2009 budget, as follows:
The total of the general revenues for the fiscal year 2009 is estimated as YR 1,537,168,312,000.
The total of the general expenditure for the fiscal year 2009 was planned to reach nearly YR 1,963,995,468,000.
The state public budget deficit for fiscal year 2009 is estimated YR 426,827,156,000.
The
law authorized the government to take the necessary procedures to
reduce the expenditures compatible with the revenues in the event of
continued decline in crude oil prices on the estimated budget deficit
to remain at the safe side.
The law shall be valid from the 1st of January 2009 and shall be published in the Gazette.
