Yemen and the US Agency for
International Development (USAID) have talked over possibilities of the USAID's
support for the Yemeni Women Union (YWU)'s reproductive health project.
The talks held by head of the
YWU Ramzeah al-Aryani and the USAID's
official Jamilah al-Shar'i and discussed the goals of the project in providing
services in family planning, reproductive health, as well as supporting the
principles of the World Health initiative and the USAID's goals with respect to
safe delivery. Al-Aryani and al-Shar'i made
reference to the YWU's palns and projects aiming at integrating Yemeni women in
development through spreading awareness on the importance of girls' education
and the keenness of the political participation of women.
