An official source with the local authority in Hadhramout Governorate denied that 17 people were injured in Mukalla clashes The false report was cited by some foreign media when it claimed that 17 people were injured in the clashes which took place today between the police and a group of demonstrators in the city of Mukalla. The source said in a statement to the Yemen News Agency (SABA): "The group of citizens were gathered in front of a police station in Mukalla. And later on it occurred, confrontations with the elements who penetrated in the ranks of the rioters these elements were armed with sticks and resulted in wounding three people." The source called upon all citizens to be careful of any elements that are inserted among any demonstrations or marches with a view to pervert its path of peaceful and later slide into violence, chaos and sabotage. It called on the media to ensure honesty when publishing news and and avoid sensationalism and exaggeration in their coverage of events in Yemen than reality.
