4th five-year plan for 2011 – 2015 revised, official says

An official source said on Thursday that the competent authorities are currently revising the draft of the fourth five-year plan for 2011 – 2015 approved by the cabinet last Tuesday.
Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mutahar al-Abassi told the weekly 26 September that the cabinet has made some remarks on the plan draft.
After taking the remarks into consideration, the draft is to be submitted to the parliament and Shura Council in according to the constitution.Al-Abassi said that the plan aims to trigger the economic growth, alleviate poverty rates, encounter unemployment, create job opportunities and carry out the Millennium Development Goals.The plan includes investment strategy and national agenda for reforms aims to enhance stability, improve civil services and administrative reforms and develop the local ruling system in the strategy approved in 2008.
