Urban support, financing infrastructure projects in Sana'a discussed

Secretary General of Local Council in the capital Sana'a Ameen Juman discussed on Sunday with World Bank (WB)'s Representative in Yemen Naji Abu-Hatim the urban support aspects, cooperation areas and financing infrastructure projects in the capital Sana'a. The meeting discussed also finalizing the general planning of the city and making strategic preconceptions to fulfill the current needs and take in consideration building expansions and the growing population density in the capital Sana'a.
In the meeting, Juman praised WB's role and its support to the service and development projects in Yemen, indicating that the work is in progress in WB-funded project to tackle the random actions.On the other hand, Juman called upon WB to enhance the cooperation and support in the infrastructure projects feild and ensuring master plans that show the expansion structure and the city features.For his part, Abu-Hatim voiced the bank's readiness to discuss financing the targeted projects and enlarging the cooperation with the local authority in the capital Sana'a as well as working on setting up a specialized technology institute to manage the direct connection with the local decision makers.
