Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik has directed ministries of
transportation and water and environment and concerned bodies to take
all necessary measures to evaluate environmental damages resulted from
leakage caused by sinking of deteriorated ship off Buraiqa Coasts in
Aden and to take swift measures.
In telephone calls made by prime minister on Monday with Minister of Transportation Abdulsalam Humaid and of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi, he confirmed making complete reports on the incident, results, measures taken and those who stand behind the incident and ordered them to take legal measures.
The two ministers briefed the prime minister on field visit to the location of the incident, pointing out that the pollution has reached al-Hoswah Natural Protectorate and to measures for taking out the ship from the water to avoid hinderance of ships movement in the area.
Prime minister directed coordinating efforts between the ministries and concerned bodies to make quick solutions to the environmental pollution.
