Mohamed Ahmed Al Shamsi Director of the Tourism Office in Shibam said
that tourist activity in Shibam Kokapan is very active, while the total
visitors to the city amounted more than three thousand foreign tourists and local visitors during the first quarter of this year.
"Shibam Kokapan witnessing daily visits by tourist delegations from around the world to see the historical landmarks, tourist advantages and implications of aesthetics in homes, which narrates the uniqueness inherent architectural art which expresses the depth of the Yemeni civilization imbedded in the roots of history, as well as the skill of creation in the Yemeni architectural art", he sadi.
Al Shamsi announces in exclusive statement to "26 sep.net" of tourism projects planned, including a Park project in Al madhoub area, which overlooks the valley, tourist resort project in Kokapan as an initiative by the local authority , in addition to Aqabah-Kokapan road project.
Al Shamsi pointed out that is now being prepared for the tour guide project for the city in Arabic and English in addition to the tourist map of the city.
