Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) has confirmed that all banknotes of the
national currency of its different forms have been in circulation were
officially issued in accordance with the law of the CBY no (14) of 2000
that was amended by law no (21) of 2003 are legal and binding currency,
valid to be dealing with in all transactions throughout the Republic of
Yemen.
In a statement the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) got a copy of it the CBY said" It shall not be allowed to ban dealing with the national currency banknotes issued by the CBY in line with conventional legal procedures that based on the law of the CBY and Republican decree no (119) of 2016 about re-shaping the Board of Directors of the CBY and relocating its headquarter in the interim capital Aden".
The CBY warned the people of the deceptive calls by any an authorized party for annulling banknotes of the national currency or imposing any illegal and un unlicensed methods to pay payments. In an insinuation to the Houthi militia's recent measures aiming to impose what it called E currency.
