Deputy prime minister for economic
affairs and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation AbdulKarim Ismail al-Arhabi has met with the regional director of the Procurement Division at the World Bank Talinda Tyler.The two discussed ways to promote cooperation between Yemen and the World Bank in the procurement field.
The World Bank recently approved a new Country Assistance Strategy for Yemen, which projects approximately $400 million in International Development Association (IDA) credits involving 19 projects for the 2006-2009.
The strategy is in support of Yemen's third Five-Year Plan for Development and reducing Povert
